This year we harvested our own oysters from Oyster Creek. The weather was beautiful and the crew of five hardworking Clean Coasters collected six bushels.

We donated the shells to the the University of Georgia Marine Extension Shellfish Lab for an oyster restoration program called GEORGIA (Generating Enhanced Oyster Reefs in Georgia's Inshore Areas). For more details visit http://www.shellfish.uga.edu/oysterrest.html.
